Research and development of vehicular networked control systems: This project aims to produce theoretical and experimental results on the influence of network protocols over the performance of embedded control systems. Some questions will be deeply investigated, such as the communication channel delays and the data package dropout, and how they can jeopardize a control loop that uses such channel to transport the measurements and commands. The idea is to study proper control techniques to circumvent such problems, guaranteeing closed loop stability and performance.
