Prof. Dr. Alexandro Garro Brito

Thank you for visiting my professional website and LASC – the Automation and Control System Laboratory of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. Presently, I am the technical leader and coordinator of LASC.

I’ve worked for more than 10 years with the Brazilian Institute of Aeronautics and Space, as one of the responsible for the research and development of the VLS attitude control system. VLS is a launch vehicle under development in Brazil.

Presently, I am an adjunct professor with the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) at Joinville, and a member of the Brazilian Society of Automatic Control. I am also a research member and professor with the Graduate Course in Electronic System of UFSC.

My research interests include:

  • Robust and Adaptive Control
  • Networked Control Systems
  • Application of the control theory on vehicular systems (aerospace, automotive, etc.).
  • Automation.
